Behind computer programs and Internet applications are software developers, also called software analysts or software engineers. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 43 percent of U.S. workers with a computer engineering degree enter this field. As more and more organizations and people use technology, there will always be a need for software developers.

Network administrator

Companies, especially large-scale ones, require an IT infrastructure that includes servers, workstations, and network tools, both hardware and software. The setup and maintenance of these devices fall under the responsibility of a network administrator, who use the fundamental principles of local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) to establish interconnection.

Computer design

Evolution is the name of the game in the computer industry. Thus, there is a need for computer engineers to keep designing new components and systems that would meet the needs of consumers.
